Terms of Service
Practical terms for reading, sharing and using The Unhurried Journal.
Last updated: 23 October 2026
These terms describe use of The Unhurried Journal, the informational lifestyle publication at bytemark.top. Read them alongside the Privacy Policy. If you do not wish to use the website on these terms, discontinue use. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
Purpose and availability
The journal provides general cultural context, observation exercises and practical suggestions about everyday rituals, homes, handcrafts, nearby nature and seasonal life. Pages can be read without creating an account or paying a subscription. The website does not provide personalized professional assessments or guarantee uninterrupted access. Content and features may be revised, moved or withdrawn as the publication changes.
Using practical suggestions
You are responsible for deciding whether an activity fits your circumstances, skills, access needs and surroundings. Follow product instructions, material care labels, species-specific guidance, local rules and appropriate professional advice. General information cannot assess valuable or fragile objects, structural repairs, an individual home, plant or outdoor route. Stop when conditions are unsuitable or specialist help is needed.
Sources and circumstances may change after publication. Links are provided so that readers can review relevant original material. The journal aims to correct identified factual errors, but does not guarantee a particular result, benefit, completeness or continuing suitability of every suggestion.
Reading, linking and reuse
You may browse the publication, share links to its pages and print a copy for your own reading. Copyright exceptions and other rights provided by applicable law remain available. For republication, translation, syndication or other reuse beyond what the law or an express license allows, request permission before proceeding. Include the material, intended use, audience and proposed distribution.
The website's original text, visual identity and code are distinct from third-party photographs and source material. Third-party images retain the license and attribution requirements identified on the relevant article. A website-level permission does not override those conditions, and an image's license does not grant permission to republish an entire article. Trademarks and names of other organizations belong to their respective owners.
Responsible use
Do not attempt unauthorized access, disrupt availability, introduce harmful code, impersonate the publication, falsely claim its endorsement or misuse the contact channel. Do not republish material in a way that removes required credits or misrepresents the original context. Automated access must respect applicable law and avoid imposing unreasonable load on the service.
Correspondence and submissions
The contact form checks drafts locally and does not deliver them. Use the displayed plain-text email address through your own email service to send an inquiry. Sending a message does not establish a publishing agreement, transfer ownership of your work or guarantee a response, commission or publication. Do not send confidential material or another person's personal information without an appropriate basis. Any proposed publication or licensing arrangement requires separate agreement.
External services
Links to museums, libraries, image platforms and other resources are included for context. Their availability, content, terms and privacy practices are controlled by their operators. A citation does not imply partnership, endorsement or responsibility for another service. Review those services' terms when you use them.
Limits and applicable rights
The publication is supplied as available for general information. To the extent permitted by applicable law, it does not provide warranties about uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular project. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits mandatory consumer rights, or removes remedies available under applicable law. No particular court, arbitration venue or operator jurisdiction is specified without a verified basis.
Corrections, disputes and changes
For an error, rights concern or disagreement about website use, send the relevant page and a clear explanation to [email protected]. A supporting source or description of the requested correction helps identify the issue. These terms may be updated as features and practices change; revisions appear here with an updated date. The About page explains the publication's scope and editorial approach.
